Almost everyone under 25 who applied there gets hired. They cast a very wide net, so you're probably good. Just tell them you're a hard worker. Maybe sprinkle in something about how a family member pushes you to succeed, and you got the job.
When I worked there, you got paid $7 per purchase. You only made decent money if you managed to sell Homemaker or Galley sets, which is ADMITTEDLY damn good money, but when you factor in the amount of gas I spent driving to people's houses, then I didn't yield the awesome results they advertised.
They constantly bugged me about going to some sort of "massive sales thing." My manager said I had "potential." I laughed in his face, and he sent me an angry text about taking my job seriously. Fuuuuuck him.
Eventually, I just stopped showing up, and they got the message that I quit. You make your own hours, and you have to compile YOUR OWN LIST OF CLIENTS. They don't make appointments for you. The reason they cast such a wide net is the relatively unlikelihood of you making a sale, and the fact that everything you do is at YOUR expense, and you put them in contact with people YOU know. It's a pain in your ass, and it's no skin of their nose.
All and all, you could to a lot better than this, but it's better than nothin'.
