I hope this message is coming to you in good health, and to be completely honest with you, I'm partially relieved that I could be making this post right now.
John was made aware, but not many others here have been informed, so instead of keeping to the vagueness, I'm going to tell you outright what's happened. The other day, Sunday May 19th (if you hadn't checked the server for yourself) the forum suffered a total shutdown. There was no archive, there was no means of accessing anything, there was no forum.
After seeing our years of hard work and dedication to our stories be instantly wiped without any means of recovery, I felt devastated, as I knew many of you would be to. I messaged John over Facebook to inform him of what had happened, but there was no other means for me to contact any of you.
Thankfully, by whatever grace of whatever forces are at work, the Database is back online. However, I have no idea if any of this is going to happen again. That being said, I would like to take this moment to make a contingency plan on the off chance that the forum dies again, but permanently.
If anyone present on the forum is familiar with the app 'Discord', I know Vale and I have each other added on there, but I don't have any of you added there. It won't be as good to post our stories on like the Database here is, but it does at least guarantee that we'll have communications if the Database ever explodes again.
With all of this being said, here is my plan for the Contingency:

If you do possess Discord, or if you don't have Discord but would like to get your hands on it. Please post your Username or state that you would like to get one (and I or someone else with it will help you set up.).
Remember when posting your Discord tag, you need to include the string of four numbers as well as the # symbol. For example: My username is JollySaltGod#4310 .

-Save ALL of your stories that you wish to. Whether it's on an external or internal text document application on your computer.
-Add each other on Discord if applicable, and create a 'Database 2.0' with the express purpose of keeping us in touch with each other.
-In the event the Database dies, we focus solely on using the Discord as our main hub, but use other websites such as Fanfiction.net or Wattpad as our outlets and link the stories on Discord.
