Here I'll post my original songs for the story by John and myself, Metallic Knights. Here are the first two completed.

Anyways these all sound pretty decent to me. The first one of Octave feels like it's got a... swagger to it. Like I can see Octave walking down the street with it while trying to act cool. That's about it.

I don't know if it's the instruments or the program or just the actual composition but if it's supposed to be fight music it doesn't feel like it.

It's my first time writing my own music.

But concerning Octave's theme, it's a sort of battle music. Pastoral's "Battle!" Song is his actual fight theme, but "Octave" is just the first section of his theme. 

Mind you, "Octave" was the first song I ever composed myself, so edits will occur in the future. "Battle!" This far is my favorite, so I might just rewrite Octave to match my level of pride with Battle. 

For now, I'm gonna write location themes until I can really feel the emotion I want to express with other characters. 

But yes, I'm actually a long time musician. And the program I use has kinda shitty audio quality, so notes that sound sour really wouldn't be if people played them. 

(And the beginning of the piano part in "Battle" would be a bitch o actually play. When I get a new computer, I'm debating making 8bit versions of the songs to match the style of game the series comes from.)

Okay, I've been working on this for a long fucking while.

So, I re-listened to Octave's theme and went "Huh. Not that good." So I took the second part's melody and made it... Darker? I went for an angrier sound, at least.

The first part is called "The Lilly". It's a complete scrap and reworking of "The Dandelion". Lilly isn't 100% finished, but it's almost there. I need to touch up a few things.

Make sure when you press the link to look for the play button on the bottom left hand side of the screen. If you wish to start from a specific place, click on the measure you want to start at and click "Shift+P".

Boom, one of Hymn's themes. I like it, but it's a bit 80's pop when I think about it.

This has no name yet, but I styled it after damn near EVERY dramatic work from any movie ever. While I'm super happy with the results, the program I used has really bad audio quality for woodwind instruments (In this case, the Clarinet), so just try to imagine that Clarinet isn't being played by a 2nd grader and enjoy the piece!

So, here it is. The moment I've all been waiting for. I finished the rough version of my first original 8-Bit song, "The Proud Knight" or Hymn's Theme. Gotta recut and finalize it, but this is a thing. Pastoral's is next.

Vale while I like the fact that you're making music... I hate this thread.

Every time I see Metallic Knights I get a mini stroke and hard on all at once. Then I see "music" and instantly my blood flows back to the rest of my body.
