Raptors on the Horizon

chapter 1: arrival to Reach

A lone Covenant Super Carrier enters orbit around Reach just as soon as a massive fleet of Covenant ships exit slipspace at the same time and fires at one of the ships before cloaking.

Sgt Johnson: The hell? A covenant ship just started firing on its ally and cloaked.

The ship is the UNSC Supreme Justice, a Covenant Super Carrier hijacked By Raptor Squad.

Onmo 'Ehtutee: No worries human we will destroy the fleet for you or die trying

Blade Raptor: This is Blade Raptor of Raptor Squad, we have captured a covenant Super Carrier and have befriended the Elite crew as they rose up against the Brute crew of this ship. We request Sabres please

A squadron of Sabres prepare to land in the ship.

Harpy: Sir, an ODST by the name of Crabtree is hailing us, they need backup in New Alexandria

Vulture: They attack my home planet and my home city? I want to rip them to shreads and eat their hearts

Death: Someone help me please

Hawk: Death, no one likes you so no one will help you

Eagle: Listen to my brother meat shield

Utah: Lets lock and load

Velo: Time to kill

Falcon: Feet first into Hell

Osprey: Time to drop

Raptor Squad, Death, and a squad of Elites enter their drop pods. The Supreme Justice launches the pods as it hovers over New Alexandria.

Chapter 2: Like our new allies?

Raptor Squad and their Elite allies finally hit the ground on Reach. As soon as Blade's pod's door blows off it hits another pod containing Death in it.

Blade Raptor: Raptor Squad report

Blade's helmet fills up with chatter as his squad begin to speak up.

Hawk: Hawk on standby

Eagle: Eagle reporting, pelican on standby

Osprey: Osprey on standby and waiting to repair vehicles

Harpy: Harpy locked and loaded, looks like the door of your drop pod hit Death's drop pod

Vulture: Reach reminds me of Earth except for the fact that it is under attack by the covenant which makes me want to blow -blam!- up

Velo: Vulture you do realize you are a grenadier right? My job is to blow -blam!- up

Death: Who put me in this -blam!-ing drop pod?

Utah: Marksman ready to do his job

Falcon: Falcon here, ready to grab any enemy weapons I can and study them

Onmo 'Ehtutee: Onmo 'Ehtutee speaking up, my squad is cloaked and watching a pack of Brutes closely, I suggest getting our personal meat shield out

Raptor Squad and Death cloak as they join up with the Elites. Blade and Onmo 'Ehtutee smirk as they grab Death and deactivate his active camo. The Brute pack led by a Brute war chieftain wielding a fuel rod gun turns to see Death.

War chieftain: A human, tear him to pieces

The Brute pack rush Death as Raptor Squad prepare their weapons and decloak. The Brute war chieftain smirks as he notices Raptor Squad and their elite allies. Blade realizes that the Brute is a hardened veteran and prepares for a fight.

Death: SOME ONE HELP ME!

Death is thrown into the air as a greenish-yellow blob hits the ground by his feet.

Blade Raptor: Like our allies?

Brute chieftain: Tear them to shreds

Blade takes notice of the armor of the Brute pack and realizes that they have the standard blue armor of a Brute minor.

Blade Raptor: Raptors attack

Utah fires a round of his battle rifle into the mouth of a Brute at point blank range while Harpy dual wields her shotguns and kills two Brutes at once. Raptor Squad mow down the Brutes until only the Brute war chieftain is left.

Chapter 3: The death of Death

Meanwhile a few miles away from the Raptors Onmo 'Ehtutee and his elites attempt to protect Death from another chieftain and his stalkers.

Onmo 'Ehtutee: Stupid Brute

Chieftain: Tear the human to pieces

Three Brute stalkers decloak and hit Death with their Brute Shots while the three remaining zealots in Onmo's squad attack the Brutes but kill the Brutes and get themselves killed at the same time.

Chieftain: Now it is just you and I

Onmo 'Ehtutee: Bring it on -blam!-hole

Onmo 'Ehtutee rushes the Chieftain as he activates his blood red energy sword.

Chieftain: FOOL!

The Chieftain's hammer causes Onmo 'Ehtutee to fly backwards a few feet.

Onmo 'Ehtutee: I need pick up now

Hawk (on coms): Copy that, calling in the nearest Pelican

Onmo 'Ehtutee kills the Chieftain using his swords and then loses conciousness. As soon as he loses conciousness a lone pelican rests next to him as two spartans load Onmo 'Ehtutee, his zealots bodies, and Death's body into the passenger bay of the pelican. The pelican's radio plays this as it dusts off.

Chapter 4: New Raptor Squad member

As a red and blue armored Spartan along with a grey and brown armored Spartan move the bodies of the dead elites, the lifeless body of Death, and the unconcious body of Onmo 'Ehtutee Raptor Squad fights against a single Brute war chieftain.

Blade Raptor: Lets go

Harpy: I am getting an encrypted message, Reach surface command says there are friendlies inbound to our location

Vulture: Grenade launcher prepared to fire

Velo: rockets loaded

Utah: Marksman ready

Falcon: Sir I got a flaming sniper for you

Blade swaps his standard sniper for the flaming sniper.

Blade Raptor: Got it

The Raptors launch their attack. Harpy shoots the chieftain with her dual shotguns as Vulture and Velo's grenades and rockets are deflected into the blue sky by the force of the gravity hammer. Utah fires at the chieftain using his battle rifle but only manages to piss it off. Blade and Falcon shoot the chieftain using their snipers.

Chieftain: I WILL TEAR YOU TO BLOODY RIBBONS!

Blade Raptor: We can win this, just do not give up

???: Hey -blam!-hole Brute, I finally found ya

The chieftain's eyes widen in surprise as a rocket fired by another combatant flies at his face and kills him. The new combatant decloaks revealing a female Spartan.

Chapter 5: Official new member

Blade, his squad, and the new Spartan enter the O.N.I base passing the spartans of Black Squad, the leader of whom Blade recgonizes as Crus due to the scorpion on his black visor.

Blade Raptor: Hey Crus, I heard that you got the nickname one man army of genocide after one of your ops here.

Crus: Indeed I did

O.N.I agents lead Blade and the second Spartan to another room where Blade recgonizes a red and blue armored Spartan from O.N.I HQ. The second Spartan who wears grey and brown armor is not one that Blade recgonizes but gives both a highfive anyway before the two leave. As soon as the two Spartans leave Onmo 'Ehtutee appears. Raptor Squad is forced to wait outside of the room while the O.N.I agents debrief Blade and the second Spartan.

Blade: I never thought they would let you roam around in here

Onmo 'Ehtutee: If I were not to be trusted I would have been able to kill half the staff on this base with no problem, the fact that I have not tried proves it

O.N.I agent: I am sure Raptor Squad has met their new member, Allison-094

Blade angrily grabs the O.N.I agent by his collar.

Blade Raptor: What was that?

O.N.I agent: I told you that the Spartan is Allison-094

Blade Raptor: That is impossible, you guys told us that she was dead, you told the original Raptor Team that she was dead

Allison-094 walks around as if she does not recgonize Blade.

Blade: She does not even remember me, she does not remember her friend

Onmo 'Ehtutee sighs as he sits down.

Onmo 'Ehtutee: What of the O.N.I agent Death?

O.N.I agent: No worries, his experimental skin will revive him soon enough

Chapter 6: Banshee and Sabre, Pelican and Phantom (part 1/2)

Raptor Squad and Onmo 'Ehtutee are sent back to the Raptor's Super Carrier after getting debriefed on their next mission.

Blade Raptor: Ok troops, our mission is to destroy the enemy air base by any means necessary

Blade motions to the video of a covenant held air base.

Onmo 'Ehtutee: This airbase is commanded by Thel 'Ehtutee, a Zealot and my brother

Blade looks over his shoulder as Allison-094 enters the room.

Blade Raptor: Hope you heard the briefing, we will hit a covenant airbase hard

Allison-094: I heard it, don't need you to tell me what the mission is

Blade Raptor: Listen up Raptors, I do not care what your primary specialty is but we all can pilot air vehicles

Hawk: Eagle and I are going to pilot our Pelican

Eagle: We know that the secondary objective is to capture the commander of the airbase alive if possible

Osprey: Lets lock and load

Falcon: This is going to be one messed up squadron

Harpy: You are not wrong about that Falcon

Utah: Will we have help from other UNSC units or are we alone?

Velo: We will most likely have help but knowing O.N.I we could be alone in this battle

Vulture: Why would we need pelicans if we did not have help?

Onmo 'Ehtutee: My brother is not one to be taken lightly, he is a seasoned warrior and can easily kill most of your troops in a single swipe of his energy sword

After thirty minutes a mixed squadron of Banshees, Sabres, Pelicans, Hornets, Falcons, Phantoms, Vultures, Spirits, Vampires, Sparrowhawks, Longswords, Shortswords, and Seraphs lift off from O.N.I's Reach H.Q and begin to fly in the direction of a covenant air base.

Pelican pilot 1 (on coms): Special Cargo, the black rangers will exfil that Elite

Banshee pilot 1 (on coms): Be careful humans, this zealot is not one to be taken lightly

Crabtree (on coms): We got that, my team is in that pelican while I am on a Hornet being piloted by a different split lip

Onmo 'Ehtutee (on coms while laughing): He (laughter) called me (laughter) a split lip (laughter)

Blade Raptor: What is it with you and thinking the term split lip is funny

Onmo 'Ehtutee (on coms): I see it as a humorous nickname for my species thus I am not offended by it, it is better than being called an alligator, I do not even know what an alligator is and the term split lip comes from the four mandibles of a sangheili

Phillips (on coms): This is Captain Phillips, the UNSC George S. Patton and its best team of ODSTs will be assisting in this assault

Shultz: We got that sir, just hope there are not going to be any Jackals, I am saying that not for our sake but their sake

Miller: He did say he would tear the balls out of the mouth of the next Jackal he saw

Ryan: I think Crabtree will explode if we mention that again

Crabtree: I SWEAR I WILL KILL WHOEVER DECIDED TO LET JACKALS WIELD NEEDLE RIFLES AND NEEDLERS!

Sabre pilot 1 (on coms): Ok guys the fighters have arrived at the air base and started their attack, you guys in the slower vehicles will have a better chance now

As the assault team nears the airbase enemy Seraphs begin to swarm the pelican of the Black Rangers.

Crabtree (on coms): Damn it someone get those Seraphs away from that pelican

Friendly Seraphs begin to cover the Pelican that the Black Rangers are in. Blade in his Sparrowhawk clear a landing zone for the pelican and Onmo 'Ehtutee's hornet.

Crabtree (on coms): Thank you

Hawk (on coms): Missiles away, (as the Pelican gets scraped by a fuel rod gun blast) woah did that hit us?

Eagle (in reply to Hawk): Negative negative, it just impacted our side and bounced off, (as the Pelican's missiles hit) woah direct hit, I knew that these modifications would come in handy

Falcon (on coms): Falcon inbound, gunners fire away

Harpy (on coms): I have not flown a Banshee before but I am flying this one like a pro, hey Hawk how ya doing over there?

Hawk (on coms): We are fine honey, though I just wish you were in this Pelican with me right now

Vulture (on coms): Vulture in the air, (after firing his payload of missiles) mega barrage away

Utah (on coms): Seraph bomb away

Velo (on coms): Sabre missiles firing

Allison-094 (on coms after regaining part of her memory): This place, it was an insurrectionist base, I was here on a mission once and then, and explosion

Osprey (on coms): Damn this thing is powerful, (as his aircraft drains energy from an enemy fighter) no wonder they call this thing the vampire

Phantom pilot 1 (on coms in regards to the assault force): This is one messed up squadron

Longsword pilot 1 (on coms): I got an enemy Banshee on my tail, (as the Banshee is destroyed) thanks, I do not know how that thing was following me

Shortsword pilot 1 (on coms): Like that Elite said, this is one messed up squadron

Blaze: The probability of winning this particular battle is good

Onmo 'Ehtutee (on coms): Correction, this is one -blam!-ed up squadron, I have also decided to aid the Black Rangers in their assault on the interior of the base

Crabtree (on coms): We are in the base, I repeat we are in the base, by the way what is the name of your team again?

Blade Raptor: It is Raptor Squad

Every member of the Black Rangers excluding Crabtree (on coms): Raptor Squad?

Ryan (on coms): I thought you guys were a myth just to boost morale

Crabtree: Yes we are in

Onmo 'Ehtutee: Ready

Phillips: Still can not believe we are working with the Raptors

Ryan: Neither can I

Miller: They recently got a new member to their team

Shultz: Yes and apparently Raptor Squad's leader and their new member have an interesting history with each other, well that is what I heard

As the group enters the base's main halls they encounter five grunts who are quickly dispatched by five silent bullets.

Allison-094 (on coms after regaining more of her memory): Raptor, Banshee on your tail

Blade Raptor (on coms): Got it, (after destroying the Banshee) she just called me Raptor, only a few hours ago she would have called me Blade Raptor, she called me Raptor just like she did years ago

Onmo 'Ehtutee (jokingly): Aw so cute, focus we are in a war zone not in a bed

Allison-094 (on coms after fully regaining her memories): I HEARD THAT!

As soon as Crabtrees group and Onmo 'Ehtutee reach the base's mess hall they encounter an Elite field marshal.

Field Marshal: Hello brother, your heresy has angered the prophets, for that I must kill you

Onmo 'Ehtutee: I will make sure you lose this battle

As the Elites begin to fight Crabtree and his ODSTs watch as the two blood red energy swords clash.

Blade Raptor (on coms): Allison, Banshee on your tail

Allison-094 (on coms): Got it, (after Banshee bombing the enemy banshee) whats next?

Onmo 'Ehtutee: Brother, the prophets put a Brute crew in command of my ship, that is why I defected to the humans side

Thel 'Ehtutee: Enough excuses, it is time for you to die

Onmo 'Ehtutee thrusts his sword through the heart of his brother and retrieves his fallen brother's body.

Crabtree: I guess getting him alive was a bust

Onmo drags his fallen brother's body to the exfil pelican as the black rangers.

Blade Raptor (on coms): Everyone return to base now, O.N.I wants to debrief us an hour after we get back to base

The assault force return to their respective bases as the short sword bombers carpet bomb the airbase killing any surviving enemies left behind.

Blade enters his room to find Allison-094 sitting on his bed waiting to talk to him.

Allison-094: So we are going to Earth?

Blade Raptor: Primarily New York

Blade Raptor: I think you should know the answer to that

Blade removes his helmet revealing a pale white face, dark brown hair, and blue eyes while Allison-094 removes her helmet revealing a pale white face, dark brown hair, and green eyes. Blade smiles as he lays down next to her.

Machine gun fire opens up as five spartans fight rebels on Reach.

Spartan 1: Get that hog over here and cover us or there will be hell to pay

Spartan 2: You heard him, cover us with the hog

Spartan 4: You would think that the boss would not let her fight this battle

Spartan 5: He requested that she stay back at base but she refused, you guys know there is know way in hell that he will argue with her

The lead Spartan and his second in command are Blade Raptor and Allison-094. Three years ago they got married and are planning to retire in three years.

Allison-094: Raptor, visual on the enemy

Blade Raptor: Got it

Blade snipes a rebel soldier using his silent sniper rifle. As soon as he does so he removes his helmet revealing pale white skin, dark brown hair, and blue eyes.

Allison: I never get tired of seeing that face

Blade Raptor: I know

Raptor Team Spartan 1 (on coms): While you two are flirting we are going around in circles around the enemy base

Raptor Team Spartan 2 (on coms): Stop harassing them and keep firing, that bfg that you are manning

Raptor Team Spartan 3 (on coms): Both of you shut up

Allison-094 removes her helmet revealing her pale white face, dark brown hair, and green eyes.

Blade Raptor: I never get tired of seeing that face

Allison: I know, now lets get back into the battle

Blade's eyes widen as he feels Allison-094's lips on his cheek.

Blade Raptor: I never want to be without that feeling

Blade Raptor and Allison-094 begin to storm the enemy base only to find it empty.

Blade Raptor: This isn't right, I don't like how empty it is

Blade Raptor looks up and realizes that it was a trap the whole time.

Allison(on coms): I have gotten to the lower levels, this is strange

Raptor team Spartan 1(on coms): Sir, the defenders are pulling out

Raptor team Spartan 2(on coms): Sir, I suggest you get out of there now

Raptor team Spartan 3(on coms): The enemy base is on a self destruct timer

Blade Raptor: Allison, get out of there now

Blade Raptor is dragged out of the base by his team mates as Allison-094 attempts to exit.

Allison (On coms): I have gone up three floors now

Blade Raptor: I must help her get out of there

Blade Raptor attempts to run into the enemy base as it self destructs.

Blade Raptor: NO, WHY DID I LET THIS HAPPEN?!

Raptor Team is evacuated as O.N.I teams search the rubble for any possibility of survival.

Doctor: First name?

Blade Raptor: If I told you I would have to kill you

The doctor walks to the other person in the room

Doctor: First name?

Allison-094: If I told you I would also have to kill you

Doctor: Ok what do you wish to name the child?

Blade Raptor: Cipher

Allison: Cipher sounds nice

Doctor: Ok

The Doctor leaves as Blade Raptor walks up to his wife who is holding an infant in her arms.
