Wait... In your post Seigfried killed the Marines. Not your latest one, the one that was edited a few times already.

While he was going to do that anyways... It doesn't make sense that the Marines are suddenly alive in my post and Shadow's.

I don't want to run how Hope's story is supposed to be told, so I'll let you decide.

The rebels (marines) stay alive and you edit.

The rebels die and Shadow and I edit.

Which is why I'm confused as to why you said she was with the group when Hope looked up. Shadow's post also confused me because he uses "you" three times, with no definitive identity for the third you.

In the past, interest was expressed in having me jump into this.

Is the door still open, and if so, when's an appropriate time for me to pop in?

I'm sorry if my post confused you. He was referring to Leo, Cammy, and Drake. I made extra careful to leave Mahila out, because three posts before mine, Hope said that Mahila was captured and we needed to get her back.

John: I would imagine there would be room for you to squeeze in somewhere. While this mission is a UNSC/Legion joint op, the Freelancers are more than welcome to participate in this.

I would say the best course of arrival would be via Drop pod from the Infinity *or whatever ship the Freelancers currently use*, after making his presence announced to Blaine.

From there, you can make your entrance post, I'll post to confirm and 'tell' the others that Reinforcements are arriving, and we could go from there.

Of course, this isn't my story. I'll let Hope decide if there is a way you can join or not. If he does agree, he's welcome to use this idea, or come up with one himself, or you could come up with one.

Read through the story. I'm pretty much ready to type up a post.

I'm not sure if I need your permission, or if you'd like me to explain my entrance post, but I'll wait for your go-ahead before I post. It's your story, so I'll just chill until you say something.

Oh, speaking of which, the characters I'm using are:

Spartan John-B694, also know as Freelancer Agent Nine. A twenty-something year old man, he is the Freelancer's premier close quarters combatant. He's skilled at duel wielding, and hand to hand fighting. His specialty is search and rescue, recovery, and close quarters combat. He is Lucy's loyal husband, and a genius fighter.

Spartan Lucy-C555, Freelancer Agent Five. She's fiercely intelligent, and her sniping skill is second only to Spartan Linda, and she does not require a spotter. She can fight effectively at point blank with a sniper rifle, scoring lethal shots and reloading in seconds. She's lethal with any gun she uses, and is quite passable in close quarters as well. Her specialty is wetwork and long range assassination.

The pair of them make an incredible team, Lucy handling the thinking, tact, and long range combat, and Nine brutally executing anything too close for comfort, and thinking quite well on his feet.

Both of them are Spartan IIIs.

Lucy has light skin, black hair with blue accents, and has blue and green eyes. Her armor is steel with purple trim, she wears a modified CQB helmet, and she has an arrow emblem on her chestplate.

Nine has dark skin, wears a wool knit hat, has a scar under his right eye and on his chin, and dark brown eyes. His right eyeball is prosthetic, but looks decently real, save for the dark brown LED display that replaces his pupil. He has a modified EVA helmet, brown armor with silver trim, and he has a smiley face emblem on his left shoulder.

They'll be arriving via orbital insertion.

After orbital insertion, Nine and Lucy spot the convoy that has Maliha captured. They brutally attack the enemy, and nearly rescue Maliha, but they ultimately fail to save her, and the enemy escapes.

Hey, I don't mean to sound pushy but... I'd rather we didn't reference "A Strange Planet".

Mainly because if it were "canon" per say, it would raise the question of how an illegal 8 year old Spartan trainee (at the time) got into one of, if not THE, most advanced simulation facilities of the UNSC and its affiliates.

I'd rather we didn't get into the messy details. I've been treating this as first cotact between the UNSC/Legion/Freelancer alliance and Hope's illegal Spartan PMC.
