"Don't you see, 'Admiral' Blaine!?" The Spartan at the edge of the street roared above the chaos. "You can't save everyone! You CAN'T always be the solution! Someone ELSE can get the spotlight for a chance!"
Blaine took a knee, wincing as he glanced up at Butch.
"It was ME that was supposed to get Katie. It was ME that was supposed to be sent to S.C.O.R.E. IT WAS ME, THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HERO! But you and everyone else around you thought it was all about you, you know why?"
"'Cause I'm better looking?" Blaine chuckled as he clutched his chest, standing.
"Because of that. Where I was a serious soldier, you always had to crack the smart-ass joke."
"Serious soldier?! You whined like a bitch when Mendez' henchman nearly put you on that electrically charged chair!"
"I had always thought my destiny was to be the hero Humanity needed. But now I've realized my one true goal was to kill you! Humanity be damned!"
"Careful with those words, my good friend Manny might have to come in and kick your ass."
"No." Butch growled, hefting a sixteen wheeler. "No more distractions. Mono y mono. You versus me pal. NOTHING, WILL GET IN MY WAY!"
Grunting, Butch turned on his feet, tossing the vehicle like some track and field equipment at Blaine. Dashing from his current position, Blaine used Bailey's newest enhancement to his suit, which gave his thrusters a bit more oomph then the typical model.
Thrusting himself forward, the anti-gravity aspect of the thrusters had him slightly above ground, as he rocketed himself into Butch's face with a straight up punch. The force behind Blaine's massive blow sent Butch head over toes into the multitude of buildings, as civilians everywhere rushed for cover.
Stomping into the building, Butch's armored hand clutched Blaine beneath the helmet, as he smashed him through one of the many steel pillars holding the building above them. The building groaned in response, as Blaine deflected an arm thrust with his forearm, bringing his knee upwards, as Butch slapped down on the approaching knee.
Blaine threw a heavy right hook, but faked into left, catching Butch off guard, sending him through the window. Leaving little time for Butch to stand, Blaine made a mad dash forward, roaring with anger as he went, using his thruster to build up his momentum, as he shoulder charged Butch through three buildings, as they collapsed onto the side-walk.
"Get OFFA ME!" Butch roared as he kicked Blaine off, launching the Spartan back into the hole they had come from.
Blaine tried to stand, as Butch lashed a mean right boot to Blaine's helmet, knocking the Admiral to the ground.
"For what you've done, I will make them suffer. All that you love, EVERYTHING YOU FOUGHT FOR! I will kill them all off, ONE BY ONE!"
Grabbing Blaine by the leg, Butch smashed Blaine in a wide arch, left to right side. Dazed, but not out of the fight, Blaine swept Butch's feet out from underneath him. Slamming his boot down on Blaine's helmet, Blaine pinned his foe's arms to the floor, swing hook after nasty hook into Butch's visor, as Butch threw him off yet again.
"You don't get it, do you?!" Butch chuckled. "I always have an ace up my sleeve!"
Pressing a variable of buttons on his suit, parts of his suit where clear tubing were present, green liquid started pouring into them, as his torso bulked up.
"Rumbledrugs." Blaine grinned, shakily standing. "I'm flattered. Would've really liked some flowers for the missus though."
"Ah.... Katie." Butch's voice was much more deepened by the drugs. "I will save her for last. Perhaps I could have a little bit of fun with her before I do away with her too. And what the hell, I'll leave you alive long enough to SEE IT!"
Running through the doorway, Butch stopped out into the street. Glancing around, he smiled as buildings collapsed to the ground, everything Blaine had sworn to protect, everything that Blaine cared for most, crumbling under his power. Spacing his legs, he plunged his hands down into the pavement, ripping off a decent portion, as he swung it around to hit Blaine.
Blaine, unable to avoid it, took the concrete head on, launching him back into the wall, as Butch jumped over towards him. Blaine stood shakily, winding up a strong punch, using his thrusters to increase his impact speed. Smashing Butch square in the chin, the behemoth was launched down the block, bouncing off of the pavement, and cracking it with each time he landed.
Sprinting after his target, Blaine prepared his right arm for a punch, smashing Butch mid bounce in his mid-section, prepping his left hand for a follow up, he smashed Butch with a nasty uppercut, the modifications to his suit increasing his strength and speed outputs. Butch was launched skywards, as Blaine hefted an abandoned vehicle, swinging it like a bat as Butch came into range, throwing him through the lobby of the hotel straight ahead of him.
Butch landed in the elevator, as Blaine thrustered his way inside. Smashing Butch's helmet with a good swift jab, Blaine hefted his foe and smashed him into all four walls of the elevator, as it climbed to the roof.
Butch, however, as the last two stops of the elevator passed, kicked Blaine square in the chest, launching him out of both doors and across the rooftop. Blaine's hand lashed outwards, grabbing a hold of the ledge, as he dangled over the building.
"Look familiar Blaine?! This is the EXACT same scenario we were in on Menachite mountain, ALL those years ago! Only this time, there won't be any-one coming to help you!" Butch grinned, slamming his boot down on Blaine's right hand. "Don't worry about Katie, I promise I'll only be slightly gentle. I'll adopt your Spartan IVs as my own, teach them how to be a TRUE Spartan!"
Blaine, however, lashed out with his left hand, grabbing Butch by the ankle, as he ripped it off of his right hand, tripping up his old nemesis.
"You wanted a fight to the death?!" Blaine barked, gritting his teeth. "Then lets see how you fair in a free fall with an honorary HELL JUMPER, ASSHOLE!"
The two Spartans cascaded down the entire buildings, fighting each other for dominance, as Blaine swung a good uppercut, wrapping his hands around Butch's throat.
"'CAUSE I'M FREE! FREE FALLIN'!" Blaine roared as they continued their tumble down to earth.
Pressing all of his weight downwards, Blaine yelled to the heavens as he smashed Butch spine first into the ground. He felt some bones splinter, both his and Butch's. Wincing from the pain, Blaine stood from the crater the two had created, as he nursed his right arm, which took the brunt of the damage.
Butch moaned in pain, he wasn't dead, but he wasn't going to be fighting Blaine for a while. Blaine patted his chest, pointing to his Admiral insignia.
"You see this?! You don't become an Admiral in the Navy if you don't know how to fly, mother fucker!" Blaine growled. "There's a REASON my call-sign is Eagle!"
Reinforcements to detain Butch would soon be on the way, and Blaine didn't have it in him to be like Butch. Turning on his boots, he began to walk away, as Butch laughed horsely.
"GET BACK HERE AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN!" Butch growled, attempting to stand.
"Men don't fight the helpless, or the unarmed."
"You think you're so clever, so tough! YOU THINK YOUR FAMILY'S SAFE?!" Butch roared. "I WILL FIND YOU!"
"Good, it's a date then." Blaine smirked cockily. "I look forward to seeing you again, maybe next time you could bring a friend, make things interesting?"
With that, Blaine walked off, his foe defeated, and a F.U.B.A.R situation was prevented from escalating further.
Blaine took a knee, wincing as he glanced up at Butch.
