I've never fully given up on Halo. Though, I guess I never really left it anyways.

Of course. Neither have I. I'm just working on another project. I'll always come back, because Halo was one of my first loves.

Hey guys, I'm back. Sorry, things've been real busy for me lately and I haven't gotten much time to write anything on here.
I've been reading that Heroes project ya'll are writing in my spare time, and I was just wondering if you guys have dropped it?

Good to see you again Max. As far as I'm aware, everyone that's participated in it so far is still interested in doing it.
People are just busy with their own thing.

We're still working on it. I haven't written in about two weeks, so I'll probably start something today. Hopefully we keep doing it. You're welcome to join if you have the time, Max.

I hope I don't make any of you feel rushed to do this. I just re-read my last message and I feel like I was a bit strong. I thank you for the kind invitation, but I don't think I have the time to commit to writing alongside you all.
Besides, I sure do like reading it. So much I haven't read any of the other threads for it just to make sure I don't spoil it for myself.

Nah, you didn't seem that strong to me at all. It's a good reminder that I need to do that though.

Yeah, you lazy bum! Haha, I'm just kidding.
Don't worry Max, most of the people here on the Database are super laid back. We very rarely take things to heart.
Shameless self promotion here: Finished the first 'arc' of my 'remastered' version of Blaine's life. Gonna take a break from it for a week or so to think of a proper start.
Next arc is the 'Homecoming' portion of Blaine's life, and I can't wait to share it.

Oh Morgan, you should feel shame.
And Max, I wouldn't be allowed on this site if these guys were all soft and squishy on the inside like some sort of candy.
If you wanna see "Too strong" wait til I start throwing "cunt"s around like a vulgar machine gun.

Re: Discuss Anything
EDIT 2: On second thought, I don't feel too comfortable with what I wrote the first time.
Long story short: I was really bummed out for the past couple of weeks because I pretty much shot myself in the foot when it comes to getting into medical school. This year's grades weren't so great, I failed a course, and my parent's high expectations didn't help either.
The reason I bring this up is because I feel you guys deserved an explanation for my disappearance since I pretty much left you guys hanging on H&D.

Re: Discuss Anything
Manny, if it makes you feel better, my dad was in a similar situation in medical school. He flunked a semester because he was out partying, and when he rallied and decided to take it seriously the next semester, he took a paper to the dean for the man to sign and let him retake his courses. The dean suggested that he leave the school. My dad had a two sentence response.
"Sign the paper. See what happens."
My father is now a member of the National Cancer Society, and has won several awards for his works, and his acts for the local community (got a shitty alcohol law changed, has sponsored several art endeavors, and has generally helped make the city bearable again).
When you're down, don't get down on yourself. Bolster where you're weak, and keep your heart in the game. I know you can turn shit around and do well.

Sorry for my disappearance as well. I've been in Japan for two weeks, and I've been struggling with some personal problems.

Sorry to hear that, Jensen. I hope you're doing better soon.
On a lighter note, how was good ol' Nippon? Did someone shout Irashi proudly at you as you sauntered into a store or restaurant? That's how you know they got the good shit.

Re: Discuss Anything
Also, was thinking about doing a collaborative Halo thing, if anyone's down. Perhaps a collab, but I was thinking something more long-term. Like, a unified thing in which our characters are in different locations and come together for missions. Like a campaign sorta thing in which each-other's actions effect the overall world. A unification of the disparate Halo stories, if you will.

Re: Discuss Anything
You mean like a campaign with multiple characters' points of view (e.g. Halo 2 or Halo 5)?
So would there be one overall story then or would we just play off each other's mission. For example, the Freelancers might find a site of importance so ONI sends in the Legion as reinforcements to secure it. Or Blaine, Jacob, and Vance might be part of three different squads sent in to kill three high ranking Covenant commanders, where the success or failure of one team affects the other? Is that what you mean?

Re: Discuss Anything
That sounds good to me, holmes. I imagine our forces will be bringing everything they've got to bear.
Skipping the Freelancers a few weeks forward from my current story. They'll will have the Creators on their side, since they locate them on Oasis.
Peace works as an adviser for Bailey in terms of dealing with Forerunner threats, and a moral coach.
Health supports the cause as an emergency medical cure-all and doctor, but I imagine her powers of restoration are limited, as not to cause rampant Deus Ex Machina. But she's still a damn good physician even without exerting herself.
Life works as a sooth sayer and can pick up on events that'll occur of great importance, but once again, her powers are limited. She can't tell you winning lottery numbers, or which way to sprint to avoid a wraith mortar, but she can provide insight to which way a certain battle will turn, and help inform the staff on what's the best way to go from there.
Last but not least, Bounty as an occasional warrior and full time produce...producer. Using her ability to alter herself and terrain, she's like a Spartan II, but also a fuckin' Druid. She can grow cheap, renewable, safe food sources; no meat, but she can grow stuff that'd keep you well nourished. A vegan's wet dream.

Re: Discuss Anything
Fun fact for our Mormon friends! If you're travelling, and need your fix of the Book of Mormon, stop by any hotel brand owned by Marriott and you'll find one in the rooms.
The CEO is a Mormon, so he's ordered that every room have a copy of the Book of Mormon inside of them. I just found out the other day when I saw my supervisor putting these books in each room and asked him why.
